The Council of the City of New York honored Eden Day Spa for its exemplary service in the wake of the September 11th tragedy.
Eden Day Spa opened its doors to rescue workers for 24 hours a day for over a week, providing free spa services and rescue workers with clean changes of clothes. We also provided services of an Ophthalmologist and an Osteopath to rescue workers free of charge. Four massage tables were set up at Liberty Street, providing free massages to rescue workers for over three weeks. Later these massage tables were moved near Ground Zero and we continued to provide free massages. Eden Day Spa showed great generosity, love and compassion in its work and has honored New Yorkers and the City of New York through its deeds.
